“If you're a BIPOC person who is committed to making lasting changes Elizabeth is a non-judgmental and culturally-affirming dietitian... I'm much happier and my body feels strong. I’ve learned (1) to recognize the lies of diet culture (2) the importance of reducing stress as a form of nutrition support (3) how systemic forces conspire to make it difficult to eat healthfully (4) simple strategies for eating healthfully at home."
“I was experiencing near-daily bloating, gas, and loose stool… [Elizabeth] tailored her approach to my specific needs and symptoms - the personalized treatment has been invaluable and a great success. After just a few months with Elizabeth, my gut health is better than it's been in over a decade!”
"Through stool testing, I found out I had intestinal parasites. Discovering that and taking medication for them has been a game changer. My constant bloating is gone, my stress levels are much less, anxiety is gone, my energy and mood are improved, sleep quality is better… Thank you for being the only clinician that listened and tried to get to the root cause of my issues!"
“My doctor told me to just take Metamucil [for my digestive issues] and it felt like it would never change… I felt relief really quickly after working with Elizabeth. She very quickly was able to identify key ways that my eating was not doing me any favors.”
“I learned so much about myself in terms of how I think about food, stressors and triggers I didn’t even realize I had. [I learned] how to approach my nutritional needs in a way that holistically focused on wellbeing rather than just weight.”
"My biggest fear was to feel uncomfortable talking about my body issues and being judged... Elizabeth took away all fears from the beginning. She was very empathetic and understanding and I always had the feeling of being taken seriously... I really appreciated the way [Elizabeth] approached food. It was not just about food and ingredients but the emotion or habit behind it."
“Given this was my first time working with a health coach, my biggest fear was that…I might end up wasting my time… I was pleasantly surprised after the first couple of sessions... they were producing results...[Elizabeth] would ask me the right questions that helped me get insights into what I really wanted, what my obstacles were and how to overcome them..."
“Elizabeth guided me towards realizing that what I thought were unbreakable patterns in my life actually had deeper roots underneath… I was so surprised that Elizabeth was not saying “you should eat this” or “you shouldn’t eat that”...She told me that [this work] was about rediscovering my relationship not only to food but to myself.”
“This is the 4th time I have lost a significant amount of weight over the last 25 years. But because of Elizabeth this time feels different, as in; I have learned what it means to maintain weight loss without deprivation.”
"I was unhappy with how I looked and felt in my body after gaining weight during the pandemic. Personal trainers attempted to help with nutrition, but their "advice" was misinformed and encouraged disordered eating habits. As an Asian-American, my biggest fear was that I would be told to forego the foods I grew up with, and that I'd receive rote advice like eating a Mediterranean diet.
I'm much happier [after working with Elizabeth], and my body feels strong. I've learned to: (1) recognize the lies of diet culture (BMI, calories in/calories out, weight being the be-all/end-all of health), (2) the importance of reducing stress (cortisol) as a form of nutrition support, (3) how systemic forces conspire to make it difficult to eat healthfully, and (4) simple strategies for eating healthfully at home, including practical shortcuts for when I don't have the time or energy to cook. If you're a BIPOC person who is committed to making lasting changes Elizabeth is a non-judgmental and culturally-affirming dietitian."
"I was experiencing near-daily bloating, gas, and loose stool. I had tried tracking foods I was eating and identifying sensitivities, but I wasn't making any progress in building a diet that worked for me or getting any closer to understanding underlying gut issues.
First of all, [Elizabeth] helped provide the structure for me to actually document my food intake and associated symptoms. That gave us an actual baseline of what was going on and felt super important. Second, [Elizabeth] ordered tests that gave us valuable objective information about my gut health. Third, [Elizabeth] helped me interpret those results and craft a supplementation plan around my specific situation.
I feel the best I have in like 10 years! I have had an amazing experience working with Elizabeth. She is knowledgeable, kind, and works logically through vexing symptoms to gather information before making any sort of recommendations or decisions. She tailored her approach to my specific needs and symptoms - the personalized treatment has been invaluable and a great success. After just a few months with Elizabeth, my gut health is better than it's been in over a decade!"
"I was dealing with mainly bloating as well as other symptoms I thought were associated with my history of PCOS (insulin resistance, acne/inflammation, weight gain, energy, stress/anxiety) and gluten/dairy sensitivities. I avoided certain foods I knew would make my bloating worse, ate lower glycemic foods, took various supplements, avoided gluten/dairy, got 7-9 hours of sleep, and meditated and exercised daily. If one of those (supplements, food, exercise, stress management, sleep) was off, my energy, mood, and PCOS symptoms would be negatively impacted.
Before the discovery call, I was worried [Elizabeth] would try to convince me that eating lower glycemic foods or avoiding gluten and dairy were signs of unhealthy eating habits or relationship with food. I worried [she] would be judgmental and not believe me when I said certain activities, activity levels, or restricting certain foods actually made me feel good. After the discovery call I felt that I had found the right dietician to help me.
[Elizabeth] asked a lot of questions during the discovery call and intake appointments about my bloating that I hadn't even considered paying attention to. The questions made me tune in more to my body and how it felt or reacted to things. I continue to take a second to really notice and understand how my body and mind feel in this moment, if it is different from how they felt before, and what might be triggering the change.
[Elizabeth's] approach of removing all supplements and then slowly adding them back gave me a methodical way to test how the supplements were actually making me feel and if they were even necessary. I have drastically reduced the number of supplements I take in a day and that feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I also pay more attention to how much I chew food before swallowing and I take 3 deep breaths before a meal (if I've had a hectic day) to create a brief transition period so I don't go into my meal feeling hurried.
I suspected, but know it's confirmed through your lab tests, that I am sensitive to not only gluten but other wheat proteins. Knowing my food sensitivity is objectively confirmed actually felt good. That information made me feel like the problem is not me or something I can fix but that that food is just not serving me or my body, it's a lot easier to let those foods go especially if you're bombarded with others telling you it's unhealthy to avoid certain foods. But why is it unhealthy to avoid foods that cause me discomfort even if it's not an allergic reaction. It was very empowering.
Through the stool test, I found out I had intestinal parasites (pinworms). Discovering that and taking the OTC medication for them has been a game changer. My constant bloating is gone (now only experienced with certain food triggers), my stress levels are much less and I recover faster, anxiety is gone, my energy and mood are improved, sleep quality is better, muscle tension and teeth grinding reduced, desire for sweets/carb is less, food sensitivities are less severe. Thank you for being the only clinician that listened and tried to get to the root cause of my issues!"
“My doctor told me to just take Metamucil [for my digestive issues] and it felt like it would never change… I felt relief really quickly after working with Elizabeth…she very quickly was able to identify key ways that my eating was not doing me any favors… She taught me mindful eating and in slowing down, I felt great relief… [it] was the first step to freedom from overeating. So grateful for her holistic healing style!”
Go Back"I learned so much about myself in terms of how I think about food, stressors and triggers I didn’t even realize I had, how to approach my nutritional needs in a way that holistically focused on wellbeing rather than just weight. I think the evolution of my mindset and approach to nutrition ended up being the biggest unexpected win, and the weight gain that naturally followed ended up being a bonus.
When I was looking for a dietician I really wasn’t sure how to find the right person or what to expect. I am so happy that I found Elizabeth! I have been struggling with gaining weight and I expected a dietician to just jump in and either criticize me or start telling me what to eat, but instead our whole first meeting was focused on how I felt when I ate, what my stressors were, what my moods were, what my thoughts were around eating and being healthy in general - I was so surprised what a difference this made for me off the bat. Without even touching the subject of what foods to eat I felt like I was already uncovering so many of the obstacles that had been challenging me - it was so eyeopening!
Elizabeth does a great job of getting to the root of your diet and nutrition issues and then setting achievable goals that don’t add additional stress but help accomplish your goals. Working with her has been transformational for me and has really made me feel more comfortable and in control of my nutritional habits. I feel so much healthier overall and more confident and in control of my well-being. Also she’s just a genuinely nice person and so that makes it easy to look forward to our conversations. Highly recommend!"

"Given this was my first time working with a health coach, my biggest fear was that it might not be useful and I might end up wasting my time doing these sessions…I was pleasantly surprised after the first couple of sessions with Elizabeth [that] they were producing results!
While Elizabeth provides guidance on what/how to do when needed, what I liked the most was that she would ask me the right questions that helped me get insights into what I really wanted, what my obstacles were and how to overcome them, thus helping me achieve my goals…. There were times when I would go into the sessions with a specific goal in mind, but would change it (for good) while talking to her.
She is also very friendly, cheerful and just a delight to talk to. I always felt very energized and motivated after the sessions. Thanks Elizabeth!”
“Before working with Elizabeth, I had high cholesterol and high blood pressure for quite some time, along with significant weight gain over the past few years…. I could barely recognize myself in old photos, and I could barely remember what it was like to feel energetic and healthy in my own body… For the first session with Elizabeth…my wife and I agreed that Elizabeth’s session actually felt like therapy.
Elizabeth guided me towards realizing that what I thought were unbreakable patterns in my life actually had deeper roots underneath, which could be identified and then reconstructed. I was so surprised that Elizabeth was not saying “you should eat this” or “you shouldn’t eat that,” or that I needed to count calories and get on the scale each day. She told me that [this work] was about rediscovering my relationship not only to food but to myself, and being open to new insights that could come from this type of deliberate mindfulness.
If you had told me before meeting with Elizabeth that one day there might be times when I actually want to eat something healthy and wholesome rather than a cheeseburger, I would have said you’re nuts. I am so grateful to Elizabeth for giving me this mindful approach.”
“I started working with Elizabeth on July 13, 2020; and at that time I weighed 280 pounds, as of today I weigh 182 pounds. This is the 4th time I have lost a significant amount of weight over the last 25 years. But because of Elizabeth this time feels different, as in; I have learned what it means to maintain weight loss without deprivation.
Elizabeth also helped me with some significant insight into the fact that I grew up with an authority figure in my life who had fat phobia…This wreaked havoc on my psyche, but when Elizabeth pointed it out to me, I saw it very clearly for what it was, and it was like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders.
I consider Elizabeth my secret weapon….she is like a lighthouse, always there, always resilient, offering hope and guidance to those that need her whether seas are rough or calm without fail.”
“I’d been feeling intense exhaustion for several weeks [and] was told I had low iron levels. A doctor suggested offhandedly that I meet with a dietitian. I expected to meet once [and] get some routine responses about eating more iron-rich vegetarian foods. However, what happened was completely different.
Elizabeth quickly got to the bottom of much deeper issues underlying my relationship with food - not by forcing me to discuss anything, but by making it immediately clear that she was incredibly open-minded, and understanding that these problems are common. It was an intense relief when I realized that this was a space where I could specifically work on my issue with food, which I felt to be the most worrying—and often painful—aspect of my life.”
