Weight, Brain, and Gut Health Connection

Most people are told to treat weight, stress, and digestive issues separately, but your body doesn’t work that way. Your brain, gut, and metabolism are connected, so when one is out of balance, the others are affected too. As an integrative and functional dietitian, I help you understand those connections so your body can restore balance, build resilience, and feel its best again.

Holistic weight management requires looking at the full picture, which includes:

Eating patterns and relationship with food
Gut Microbiome Balance
Emotional Awareness

Frequently Asked Questions

Is ALIGN only for people with weight issues?

Not at all! Many clients come to ALIGN with multiple health concerns, weight issues being one of them, but also commonly seen are IBS/digestion issues, fatigue, anxiety, and metabolic imbalance like elevated blood sugar and cholesterol. I take a whole-person approach when working with clients and investigate how your nutrition, stress, sleep, and lifestyle all impact your wellbeing. I will leave no stone unturned until you get answers!

Do I need a medical diagnosis or lab results to enroll in either program?

No medical diagnosis or lab results are not required to join Attuned & Thriving. If you’re interested in my ALIGN program, please note the following:

ALIGN includes functional lab testing, targeted medical nutrition therapy for specific health conditions, and one-on-one holistic support. In order to participate in ALIGN and receive the full range of these services, you must reside in California, Georgia, or Florida, due to state licensure laws for Registered Dietitians.

If you live in California, you are also required to obtain a referral from a licensed healthcare provider (such as an MD, DO, NP, or psychiatrist) before we begin. Once you’ve completed a Resilience Strategy Session and decide to move forward, I’ll provide the referral form for your provider to complete and return—it's a quick and simple step to get started.

If you are unsure, simply book a Resilience Strategy Session so we can review what your needs are.

I’m not sure which service is right for me. How do I decide?

Start by asking yourself what kind of support you’re looking for. If you want a highly personalized, in-depth experience that includes lab testing, supplement guidance, and private health coaching tailored to your individual needs, ALIGN is the best fit.

If you’re looking for a structured, community-based program that helps you build habits to improve your energy, manage stress, and feel more grounded in daily life—and you identify as an AAPI woman trying to balance career and motherhood—then Attuned & Thriving would be the better match. This group program is intentionally designed to center AAPI women’s lived experiences in a culturally sensitive, trauma-informed space where participants feel seen, understood, and supported.

Still unsure? You’re invited to book a Resilience Strategy Session—a 1:1 consultation where we’ll explore your goals and determine the best next step for your care.

Is Attuned & Thriving only for AAPI professionals and mothers?

This group program is intentionally designed to center the lived experiences of AAPI women balancing their career with motherhood. If you do not identify with this, ALIGN would be a more appropriate and inclusive path for you to receive personalized support.
